I’m with Herr Demnig. The blocks are in your face reminders of what happened. As he said you have to make a decision to go to the Holocaust Memorial. The blocks are all over the city as a reminder to everyone passing through. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it.
Almost as bad as the idiots here trying to erase the Civil War by removing monuments.

    Hello Mr. Roteman,
I think that my feelings are mixed on the stumbling stones this man so taken to do. It makes me feel good that someone is making a statement about those many many people who suffered and died for no good reason. I just don’t like the idea of where they are placed. The walk of fame in Hollywood is OK because it is a different kind of tribute. In a cemetery, no one walks on a grave site and I feel that this is like a grave site. Guenther Demnig is a good man with good intentions!! Another good piece Mr. Roteman!
    Shalom,
    Paul Lederstein
